In order to be a true warrior in our own lives, I believe certain things are necessary.
1. Be individualistic. Don't be afraid to be you, entirely.
2. Have the courage to risk failure, learn from setbacks, and forge ahead.
3. Focus on how you live your life, or in sport, how you race the race, or how you play the game, as opposed to the outcome of the race, or game.
4. Use every race, every game, every challenge in life as an opportunity to gain greater self realization.
5. Know your vulneralblities and train to strengthen them.
6. Create balance, moderation, and simplicity when possible.
7. See your competitors as partners who facilitate improvement.
8. See success as one part of the process, but not as everything.
9. Understand that performance, and life in general, is a roller coaster and have the patience to ride the ups and downs, and respect them for what they both bring you.
10. Have vision. Dream things into possibilities, and enjoy the pleasure it brings to participate, and to work hard at achieving your dreams.
I will be playing professional golf with the sole purpose of winning on the PGA Tour, making the Ryder Cup team, and making a difference for those soldiers and families who fight so hard for our freedom. A percentage of my earnings will be donated to the the above organizations which helps those soldiers and their families who have been affected by injury. I will never forget what the Marine Corps provided me and I want give back to those soldiers and their families who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.
